I had planned on posting this pics straight from my phone as we did the pub crawl on Saturday, but had some technical difficulties, as my phone had lost my email password, so apologies for posting them “after the fact” as it were…
This is one of my favorite pub crawls, as we start just under a minute from my front door, make our way in to town and then back to end close to home again.
We forgot to take a pic of the 13th pub, the Prince of Wales, and the last pub, the Exmouth Arms.
1st Pub & lunch: The Norwood Arms

we had a very nice Ham, Egg and Chips for lunch in the Norwood.

On to bar number 18, The Retreat, and love the smokers area in here!
We managed another 3 pubs after this and then ended up in a curry house for a late supper.
Not a bad day all in all.

Could be trouble today, we’ve gone from white beer to guinness, to cocktails and now real ale. . . Not good to mix!

not best weather for a pub crawl, at least not if you’re a smoker like me…

By this time my phone was out of batteries, so I’ve just recovered enough to get these photos of Col, to finish off the posts for my birthday pub crawl…

Bar 19 was on the way back through town and was supposed to be the last one, but as we’d had shots in the last couple of bars, I’d got a taste for vodka and managed to drag Col up to my favorite late night haunt, 24-7, which was bar number 20: -

after an hour or so at 24-7 Col decided he’d had enough and left me solo, so when 24-7 shut and I headed for SubTones I wasn’t able to get a photo, not sure I would have remembered by that time anyway!

Bar 18 the fiery angel, originally uploaded by mattgarrett.
Another new pub and it’s a cool discovery, although it may be a little to “Bohemian” for my taste.

Bar 17 the Sherborne arms, originally uploaded by mattgarrett.
Way off the beaten track and trying another new (to me) real ale called spitfire. Only two more to go, but running short on time

Bar 16 the Sudeley arms, originally uploaded by mattgarrett.
Never been in here before, and the sliding door proved to be a challenge, but amused the locals.
