Well the experiment of posting pics and summaries of the pubs we visited on the pub crawl yesterday was a bit of a failure.
For some reason the emails just weren’t sending correctly, only one managed to get sent out successfully and it didn’t show up
as a post until almost 24 hours later, so I guess I’m going to have to figure out what went’ wrong, but in the meantime, here’s the photos that didn’t get posted.
We had a drink in 16 pubs in all, missing out the Norwood Arms as it’s closed for renovations, so a fairly full days work. We hit the first one shortly after 1pm and left the last one sometime around 10:30pm ish.
Sphere: Related ContentLast night I got back from a weeks Holiday in Sunny Spain, and oh boy was it sunny! I’ve managed to pick up a fairly good tan, in between the Mosquito bites, they seemed to take a liking to the high level of vino flowing through my veins and spent the week partying on me!
The holiday was the biggest “family” holiday we’ve ever done. My kids and I shared a house with my parents and my big sister, although she somehow managed to “accidentally” (I believe you sis) mess up her booking so that she arrived a couple of days after us and stayed for a couple of days longer…
Sphere: Related ContentThis weekend should be the 5th annual Hay-on-Wye Festival of the literature and arts “piss-up” weekend for me, Jumbo, Col, Tat and Hugh, but we’re not gonna be there.
It’s a shame but life moves on, we’re all off doing other things and somehow it’s just not where we’re at this year, maybe we’ll come back to it next year or some time in the future, but for now, the tradition we started back in 2003 has faltered.
I know that the friends I have shared this “qaulity” (drunken & relaxed) time with for the last few years are still great friends and we’ll do it again, but I also know that we don’t HAVE to do the weekend just because it was becoming a bit of a tradition.

it’s so easy to just twitter during the day as i’m doing stuff that I kinda feel like i don’t need to post anything here as I know that the “tweets” will get automatically posted here, but it’s still not the same as doing a “proper” blog post.
So what am I up to at the moment?

since moving to the new place in Leckhampton, Cheltenham, I’ve been kicking back and remembering what it’s like to have a life again, so now I’ve got a huge backlog of work to catch up on, which I’m slowly getting through, but tonight was another night off as my big sis, Tag, turned up so we had to go out so she could see my new local and have a burger.
Sphere: Related ContentI’ve now been living in my new place in Leckhampton, one of the nicer areas of Cheltenham, for a couple of weeks now and it’s sweet to have a life again!
There’s a dozen or more real good pubs within 5-10 minutes walk, as well as a bunch of restaurants, takeaways and off licences, there’s even a health food shop and nutrition centre for all my health “foibles”.
This is the first weekend that my kids have been to visit here and it’s so close to the town center we can actually enjoy the sunshine and walk in to town or visit the parks that are close by, and of course they like the fact that we can walk to the local Indian restaurant for a curry, which is in fact what we’re going to do as soon as I’ve finished this post…
Eight weeks after accepting an offer and we finally have an exchange and completion date, now the only problem is the completion/moving date is just 6 days away, so I’ve been on the phone all day sorting things ready for the move.
I forgot how many places my address needs to be changed, so it’s not just a whole bunch of telehone calls, there’s a big pile of letters to write, then of course there’s probably around 100 or more websites that I’ll need to update…
This time I’m going to take advantage of my business mailbox address and change as many as I can to that, so the next time I move it won’t be a problem, unles of course I move out of the country…

I’m still waiting on exchange and completion dates for my move, so life’s kinda on hold at the moment, just the “calm before the storm” of moving I guess, but it’s a little frustrating not knowing when..
I decided to cut my hair today and forgot the No.1 rule of cutting your own hair with clippers, ALWAYS check to make sure the clippers are charged up…
