13, unlucky for some, or so they say..
Well, I just signed my second divorce petition and returned it to my solicitor today, dated 13th of Feb, on a leap year too, another date that will be easy for me to remember.
Isn’t it strange how numbers are sometimes.
I suspect it’s because the Universe knows that I’m just plain crap at remembering dates, so it’s gone out of the way to try and make things easy for me..
My birthdate is 6/9/69
My wedding anniversay with my first wife (Rach) was the 16th of september, easy to remember as it’s 10 days after my birthday, and then Rach’s birthday is on the 18th, just two days later, even I couldn’t mess that one up.
My second wife, Ira, also has a real easy to remember birthdate, 9/8/76.
and then there’s my sister, who was born on New years Day, not easy to forget, even with the nevitable hangover that always seems to be there on the 1st of Jan.
and of course there’s my son, Sam’s, birthdate, which is 6/9/96..
yup, he was born on my birthday, best birthday present I ever had, thanks Rach!
My daughter, Gemma, on the other hand was born on the 15th of Jan, with no easy association to remember it by, but I guess that’s just her stubborn and cantakerous nature..
She takes after her grandma, who also has a “unmemorbale” birthdate in January, they’re “cut from the same cloth”…
and Dad?
Well Dad’sbirthday is June 13th, which kinda brings me full circle for this post.
I’m off to get some much needed sleep now, before the kids and my sis arrive for dinner tomorrow, but I’d like to wish everyone who reads this post a Happy Valentine’s day, may you find love, romance, or just good old fashioned “rumpy pumpy”!
